Who are we ?

Driven by a team of volunteers, the Association offers a series of events throughout the year: the summer festival held in the first fifteen days of August and off-festival events scheduled at other times of the year.

THE SUMMER FESTIVAL

Founded in 1987, the Association “Les Riches Heures Musicales de la Rotonde” has welcomed several hundred artists and more than 20,000 festivalgoers over the past 39 years, organizing more than 300 concerts and activities centered around early music, both instrumental and vocal.

OFF-FESTIVAL

In a spirit of integrating our activities into the rich associative fabric of Simiane, our association aims to develop partnership projects whenever possible, even sharing our own equipment in a spirit of mutualization. This has strengthened our connection with the people of Simiane over the past few years. For instance, the October concert, in collaboration with “Vivre à Simiane” and “AMY “(Music and Yoga Association), other Simiane associations, has added to our musical activities in a completely different musical genre. Since 2023, we have been developing an educational approach aimed at the young people of Simiane. We offer them a free, high-quality musical show, sometimes interactive. School interventions may precede the show to introduce them to a different approach to so-called “classical” music, as well as other forms of art (poetry, watercolor, mime).

For several years now, we have also embarked on a more civic and eco-responsible approach : All our supplies are local.

We have reduced the number of printed materials distributed during concerts.

Our printers are responsible and committed to reducing environmental impact with the Imprim’Vert label. The inks used are plant-based, and 90% of the paper comes from “sustainably managed” forests. Additionally, 98% of the materials used are recycled.

During concert intermissions, we use glasses instead of plastic or cardboard cups.
